Howard H. Hirsch

Howard H. “Sonny” Hirsch, 72, of Bridgeport passed away Monday at his home with his family by his side. He was a native of Syracuse and retired from Carrier Corp where he worked for 36 years. Sonny was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church. Predeceased by his father, Howard E. Hirsch in 1980.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gloria Jean Redwood Hirsch; daughters, Linda Hirsch (Eugene Eddy) of Cleveland, NY, Debra Salvatore of Parkland, FL, Tammy Hirsch (Michael Jarvis) of East Syracuse, NY; his mother, Julia Fortunato Hirsch; brother, Wayne (Sharon) Hirsch; grandsons, David, Howard, Lawrence, Michael, and Matthew; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday 9 a.m. at Farone & Son Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Bridgeport. Burial is private.

Calling hours Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Farone & Son Funeral Home, 1500 Park St., Syracuse.
