George V. O’Donnell, Jr., 76, of Canastota, passed away Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Syracuse, he resided in Canastota for five years. George retired as a dry wall finisher after many years for Local 31. Predeceased by his wife, Mary O’Donnell in 2003 and his daughter, Catherine Wickham in 2002.
Survivors include his three sons, George (Chum Soon) O’Donnell of North Carolina, Frank (Sofia) O’Donnell of East Syracuse, and Chris (Jamie) O’Donnell of Brewerton; one sister, Terry (Harold) Tabar of Florida; 8 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday 10 a.m. at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME.
Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
