Patricia Marie Burns

Patricia Marie Burns, 68, of Port Chester, NY, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2023. Born on November 3, 1955, Patty grew up and spent most of her adult years in Syosset, New York. She attended St. Edward the Confessor School and graduated from Holy Family High School in South Huntington. The sixth of thirteen children to Mary Ellen and Albert V. Burns, Patty was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, whose birthdays she always remembered. Along with being an avid Yankees fan, Patty loved and had an incredible memory for the great films of Hollywood as well as classic television shows. Patty had a wonderful laugh and took pleasure in the joking repartee of her big family, who loved the fabulous chocolate cream pie she made at holidays. Patty was a loving soul. She will be deeply missed. Patty’s parents and nephew, Matthew Segal, predeceased her. She is survived by her siblings: Mary Ellen, Carolyn, Michael (Ave), George (Lisa), Mark, Barbara (Dave), David (Elise), Cathy (Terrence), Jacqueline (Rich), Christine (Michael), Deirdre (Bill), and Angela (Chuck), along with fifteen nieces and nephews, two great nieces and a great nephew. The family extends its deepest gratitude to the wonderful staff who cared for Patty at The Enclave at Rye. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 5, 2023 at 11AM at St. Edward the Confessor RC Church, 205 Jackson Ave., Syosset. A private burial will follow.
