It’s been a little over a month since one of my best friend’s passed. Not a day goes by i don’t think about my Ben. Every sunset or sunrise reminds me that you’re painting the sky for us. There’s so many things i wish i would tell you. i wish i could pick up the phone and just talk for hours like we used to. i miss you much, more then anyone will ever know. i’ll see you before you know it. i love u my texas 🤍💙

I am so very sad to hear this news. Ben was a student of mine at FSMS in Midlothian. He was a 7th grader when I taught him. The thing that I remember the most about Ben was his great smile. He would always come in to class talking with a big smile on his face He was a sweet young man. He will be missed. Prayers for peace that only God can give during a time such as this.

Ben was in my English class this year. I didn’t know him well, but he always walked into class with a smile on his face every day. I remember one time he went ahead of the class and finished his whole essay outline before it was due without realizing it. For the rest of that period our teacher continued telling Ben how he made her day and is an excellent student. That is a story I will always remember Ben by, the excellent student who strived to make people’s day. I didn’t really need to know him to see that he was an amazing person. Long Live Ben 💙💙💙

Ben was an amazingly funny, kind and smart kid. I met Ben in the first years of my career and time at Cowlishaw Elementary. He had such spunk and spirit. I look back fondly on this silly Christmas card he gave me years ago that still hangs in my office. Over these years I think of him fondly whenever I see this card. It gives me a chuckle just like he did. Daggett family, my heart is breaking for you. I send you thoughts and prayers wishing you comfort in this terrible time. 

I am so heartbroken to hear about the passing of Ben. He will always be remembered by me as the little boy with a big smile and even bigger heart. His laugh was contagious and his personality was so likeable. I remember he would always like to tell jokes to his classmates. Ben was always such a great big brother to his little sisters. At school functions Ben would always be leading them around and keeping a watchful ‘big brother’ eye on them. I have taught around 450 students in my teaching career and Ben is one that I will never ever forget. ❤️

Ben was the most genuine and happiest person I’ve ever met. There were so many times where he’s given me advice on what to do and he was never negative in any situation he was going through. Everywhere Ben went he would always see someone he knew and if not he would meet so many kids. I’ve made so many memories with Ben that I will cherish forever and there’s never a moment where I’m not thinking of Ben. He was always the life of the party and even when he wasn’t in this type of setting everyone would always hear him rap or his crazy stories. We have gone to all the elementary schools together for class and he always had the best interactions with the kids there. They would chase him around and they all loved him. I always asked him to freestyle and rap about me and he was always so happy to do it. He is the only boy that willingly let me do his makeup. We had so many great memories together that I will never forget. Ben and I were so supportive of each other. I always loved getting sent raps that he recorded of himself and him asking what I thought about it. Everytime that we would FaceTime I would end up laughing uncontrollably. I didn’t know ben very well, but the first time i saw him was when he entered my cooking class last year. Everyone loved him and he was a very nice and kind person. I also remeber him coming into my art class with one of his friends who was also in the class and he played his music for us. I was shocked at how great his music was and that I knew he would go far in life through his music. He was such a sweet soul and was gone too soon. Ben was a kid who has the biggest heart that I had probaly ever met, always looking to make everyone laugh and happy. It’s crazy he came just last year and became friend with quite litteraly everyone , everygrade and then he was taken so quick.  It was the biggest gift to have met Ben and he seriously impacted so many from the people at school or the strangers he would freestyle to at the beach . Everyone loved Ben. He came to my class everyday to talk and we then became friends , he was such a peoples person. Got along with so many. Ben always made school a little bit more fun. Ben was one of my closest friends from walking in the morning to lifting to biking partying and hang out . every time I saw ben he would always have a smile on his face and just always brighten up the room. I have only known Ben for a few months, but I am absolutely blessed to have been friends with him. Throughout the school day, Ben would never hesitate to say what’s up to me, always with a smile on his face. He never failed to make me laugh or simply make my day better. He also had a genuine passion for making music. He was very talented and was able to freestyle for what seemed like forever. I couldn’t help but notice how confident he was in his music. Bens self confidence has inspired me to become more confident in myself. He was also very good at simply spreading positivity. Whether that was from his music or simply hanging out with him. Ben was able to make something as small as a bowling night a strong memory for me. Every time Ben was around, there would be a few more smiles on everyone’s faces. My prayers go out to the Daggett family and all of his friends🙏🏼

Ben, I’m so glad for how close we became and for all the great memories we made over the past year together. You were genuinely one of the most caring and compassionate people I have met and grown to known so well, who always taught me not to let the bad things which happened dictate my emotions and actions throughout life. Ben always knew how to light up a room with laughter and joy, he was always a party starter no matter the circumstances. Ben was so incredibly talented and passionate about his music, and was never afraid to show it. I remember the first time meeting Ben during an after school workout. He walked up to me and introduced himself and I think it’s quite impressive how fast he became adjusted to becoming a student here at Syosset but it’s not surprising considering his personality made lots of people feel rather comfortable around him. It’s hard to fathom what happened since it feels like yesterday when we were hitting PRs together in the weight room. I remember one time before our Spanish final during sophomore year, he biked over to my house and we just did laps around my neighborhood talking about our lives. Although we weren’t the closest, we had planned so many things together in the summer that genuinely would have created memories I would have loved to cherish. My condolences to the Daggett Family. It doesn’t even cross my mind that this really happened.  On Ben’s first day of school he entered my english class and I heard that he was a rapper.  I was curious and we began to talk.  He showed me some of his music and I was stunned.  He was really good at this and from that point on I knew if he had a passion for something he would succeed at it.  He has given me countless memories between our hangouts or even through our group chat.  Thank you for putting a smile on my face and I am going to miss you a lot.  Love you bro

To the sweetest boy ever. The first time I met him, I walked into my classroom to him free-styling for my friends. I moved over more to listen.  At that moment, I knew this boy had a bright future ahead of him. Every room ben walked into, smiles popped on everyone's faces immediately. Everyone would greet him by saying, "YOO IT'S BEN, COME OVER HERE." or "HI TEXAS." As a new student, it's really hard to connect with people you have never met before... but ben didn't have that problem. He connected with everyone instantly. He was one of a kind. He will be missed every single day and never leave anyone's minds.

I will see you up there one day ben. Keep working on your amazing music and I can't wait to listen to it when I see you again. You are in paradise now.

Ben was such a bright kid with a beautiful soul and had such passion for things he loved. I’m so grateful to have met ben the summer of 2022 and got the chance to form a friendship so quick. Ben and I immediately bonded through our passion for music. Ben would always send me snippets of songs he had been working on and of course they’d always be good. Once he dropped Mansion music all his songs would be on replay. Ben inspired me so much with his music, hard work and dedication. Halloween wouldn’t have been a night to remember if it weren’t for him. He was always the life of the party and was the best person to vibe with. I’m so thankful i got to know and appreciate him. Ben will always be remembered.
