William Jerry Lee

Sylvania –William Jerry Lee, age 72, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. He was born in Screven County, GA to the late Eelie M. & Thelma Rosier Lee and was a member of Jackson Baptist Church. He was retired from the Coca Cola Bottling Company after 50 years of dedicated service. He loved fishing, bluegrass music and festivals, and was devoted to his wife Mary of almost 51 years. He loved his family and friends, spending time with them and having cookouts. He and Mary also hosted the “Old Homeplace Bluegrass” gathering each year held around the 4th of July. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Grandson: Levi Williams; Brothers: Joe Eelie Lee and Ryan Lee.

Survivors: Wife: Mary Doyle Lee of Sylvania; Children: Jerald, Jr. (Angie) Lee of Newington, Michelle L. (Ricky) Williams of Rocky Ford and Teresa L. Scalisi (Jonathan Lee) of Sylvania; Sisters: Brenda L. (Harold) Dickerson of Springfield, Elaine L. Blocker of Elizabeth City, NC and Cathy Lee of Pembroke; Brothers: Bryan Lee and John Paul (DiAnne) Lee, all of Sylvania; Sister-In-Law: Cindy Lee of Sylvania; Grandchildren: Sarah Williams (Anthony Rowe), Tiffany Barrs, William Barrs (Rebecca McCall), AJ Williams, Tabitha Barrs, Ed Lee and Madison Lee; Great-Grandchildren: Kassie Skinner, Van Skinner, Lily Skinner, Ava Rowe, J Rowe and Emily Barrs; A host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Services: Monday, March 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Jackson Baptist Church with Rev. Rusty Sowell and Rev. Ralph Dixon officiating. Burial in Jackson Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Greg Kinard, Adam Doyle, Justin Kinard, Donnie Lee, Mike Bond, William Barrs, AJ Williams and Ricky Doyle.
