Lewis Lanier "Buddy" Moore Jr.

Sylvania – Lewis Lanier “Buddy” Moore, Jr., age 62, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Optim Medical Center-Screven in Sylvania. He was born in Screven County, GA and was a member of Red Bluff Baptist Church. He enjoyed listening to music and especially liked all types of sports, including softball, fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his Father: Lewis Lanier Moore, Sr.; Paternal Grandparents: Grover Cleveland, Sr. and Maggie Johnson Moore; Maternal Grandparents: Ozie Hampton, Sr. and Stella Davis Wilson.

Survivors: Mother: Mary Wilson Moore of Sylvania; Sisters and Brothers-in-Law: Mary Ann Moore & Paul Keller Newton, Jr. of Statesboro, GA, Tammy Lynn Moore & Russell Dexter Drake of Lincolnton, GA and Katherine Alane “Kathy” Moore & Donald McClain Martin of Sylvania; Brother: James Thomas “Tommy” Moore of Sylvania; Nieces: Mia Elaine Moore and Marly Mayden Moore; Nephews: Lewis Brooks Harrison and Thomas Raeb Moore.

Visitation: Monday, June 5, 2017 at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Red Bluff Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Mann and Rev. Danny Jenkins officiating. Burial following at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Harold Mock, Travis Moore, Danny Joyner, Donnie Joyner, Blake Miles, Connor Miles, Tyler Moore and Quint Moore. Honorary Pallbearers: Frank Johnson, Sr. and Boykin Stuart.
