Gail Murray Bertucci

Gail was born on December 7, 1950, in Newington, Ga., and graduated from Screven County High School in 1969, where she was a star student athlete. She later married and raised two children. Afterwards, she enjoyed working in banking and concluded her successful career with Textron Corporation.

Gail's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was a dedicated homemaker, avid tennis player, skilled gardener and wonderful cook. She had a deep-rooted faith and loved listening to gospel music. She was best known for her humor, quick wit, kind spirit and stubbornness!

Gail was preceded in death by her father, Herman Murray, and mother, Thelma (Bazemore) Murray. Her spirit lives on in her children Kristi Malloy (Jason Malloy) and Tony Bertucci (Rachel McNamee); grandchildren Ethan and Nolan Malloy; former spouse Tony Bertucci (Debby Wright); siblings Jimmy Murray (Denise), Carolyn Schneider (Tom) and Shirley Mims; several nieces and nephews and an extended family of dear friends.

Visitation: Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Services: Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carolyn Schneider officiating. Interment following at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Tony Bertucci, Jason Malloy, Jimmy Murray, Sanjay Kopay, Tal Mims and Russell Schneider.
