Richard Harold Peters

Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Richard Harold Peters, 94, will be Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Pastor Mark Jessup officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.

Mr. Peters died Monday, November 7, 2022 at Coosa Valley Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his precious wife of 75 years, Gladys Jones Peters, twin son, Larry Gene Peters, twin son, Gary Dean Peters, grandson, Richard Shannon Nicholson, mother, Henrietta Veazey Peters, father, John Vesper Peters, sister, Peggy Blasingame, and brother, Homer Peters.

He is survived by his son, Ron (Liba) Peters; two daughters, Patty Nicholson, Sharon Blythe (Butch) Lovelady; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Doc Peters, Jack Peters; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Knollwood Presbyterian Church, 1277 Knollwood Lane Sylacauga, AL 35151 or a charity of your choice.

Pallbearers will be Ken Peters, Brian Carlisle, John Peters, Stephen Peters, Todd Blankenship, and Shane Nicholson. Honorary pallbearer will be Hayes Carlisle.
