Pete Stewart - Sylacauga - Funeral service for Pete Stewart, 87, of Sylacauga will be Monday, July 16, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel with the Rev Freddie Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Stewart passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Coosa Valley Medical Center. He served in U.S. Navy in WW II, and a native of Sylacauga. He is survived by his son, Johnny Stewart of Sylacauga, daughter, Sandy Williams of Sylacauga, step-daughters, Janice Bryant, Patricia Smith, Brenda Perdue, all of Sylacauga, sisters, Betty Mount of Sylacauga, Tommie Yates of Atlanta, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, July 15, 2012, from 5:30-8:00 pm at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered at www.curtisandsonfh.com. Curtis and Son North Chapel will direct the service.
