Olene (Wood) Wiginton

Olene is survived by her daughter Vicki Wiginton Cotney (Steve) of Birmingham; her sons Danny Wiginton (Fran) of Hackleburg and Joey Wiginton (Nancy) of Tallassee; her grandchildren Wes Wiginton (Jeannie), Keith Little (Robyn), Eric Wiginton (Jessica), Barry Wiginton (Tiffany), Kacy Wiginton, Lori Cotney Aultman (Sid), Wendy Cotney Till (Clint), Tiana Wiginton Jacobs (Andrew), Kayla Wiginton Martin (Matt) and Amber Wiginton McDonald (Daniel), her 24 Great Grandchildren and her numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Olene was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Hubert "Banny" Wiginton; her mother Lois Wood and her father Charles Wood; her brothers Travis Wood, Charles Wood and Jack Wood and her sister Ora Wood Isom.

A visitation for Olene will be held Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, Childersburg, AL 35044, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Olene will be laid to rest in Greenhill Memorial Gardens, Old Sylacauga Highway, Childersburg, Alabama. All services will be officiated by Bro. Gary Bradley Jr.

Olene was a homemaker and part time florist. She was a dedicated Christian and raised her family in the Church of Christ. She was an excellent cook and loved to garden.
