Leon was a hard-working and loving husband and father. He was a simple man who cherished his family and made sure to spend time hunting and fishing with his girls.
Leon is survived by his wife of 63 years, Willie Dean Smith; his daughters Dr. Tammy G. Smith; Jeanelle Smedley (Dan); Wanda Jean Culver (Chris); and Marsha Ann Smith; his one surviving sister; 4 grandsons and 5 great-grandchildren.
Leon was preceded in death by his daughter Debra Lynn Smith; his parents Joshua and Ida Lee Roberson Smith; and 10 siblings.
A private graveside service for the family will be held.
Leon will be laid to rest in Talladega Springs Cemetery, Sylacauga Fayetteville Highway, Sylacauga, AL.
