Lee Roy Shaw

Lee Roy Shaw, age 92, of Springville, Alabama passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021. Lee was born May 13, 1929 to Carrie Shaw and John Shaw. A visitation for Lee will be held Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur following the visitation at 2:00 pm. A burial will occur at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery following the funeral. All services will be officiated by Rev. James Long and Rev. Joel Maxwell. Lee Roy is survived by his wife, Barbara Wills Shaw; son Lee Roy Shaw Jr. (Micki); and daughter Noval Shaw Hudspeth (Duane Brooks); brothers Calvin Shaw, AD Shaw and Raymond Shaw; grandchildren Anna Shaw, Josh Hudspeth (Nancy), and Michael Brooks (Heather), great grandchildren Logan Hudspeth, KenLee Hudspeth, Olivia Brooks, and Hailee Brooks, special niece Deb Hendrick and many friends and family. Lee was preceded in death by father John Shaw and mother Carrie Shaw; sisters Ruby, Louise, and Flossie; brothers Johnny, Lonnie, WJ and Clint; and grandson David Lee Shaw. Serving as pallbearers are Danny Culp, Robert Malone, David Mizzell, Jimmy Magourk, Johnny Harris and Dennis Murphy. Lee Roy was a Methodist minister from the age of 17. His home church was Sycamore United Methodist Church. He served at Riser's Chapel United Methodist church, Equality United Methodist church, Friendship United Methodist church, Vincent United Methodist church, Rehoboth United Methodist church, Harpersville United Methodist church, and Duncan United Methodist church.
