Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Gladys Tanner Gill, 93, will be Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Heath Webb and Dr. Wayne McDaniel officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.
Mrs. Gill died Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Gill, Jr., daughter, Margaret Ann Weathers, daughter, Wanda Kay Gill, son, William "Bill" Gill, granddaughter, Kimberly Ann Christopher, granddaughter, Sherry Lynn Whaley, great-grandson, James Payton McDonald, and parents, Fred and Eula Mae Tanner. Mrs. Gill was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church and was a friend to many and loved by most. She was a longtime employee of FW Woolsworth and a member of the Burger King Gang.
She is survived by her two daughters, Betty J. (Jimmy) Whaley, Barbara Gill Whaley; son, Leon (Jennifer) Gill III; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 9 great great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be Friday, December 21, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
