Ellen H. Magouyrk

Ellen Magouyrk, age 67, was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Limbaugh Chapel, Talladega, Alabama. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She was a woman of very strong faith and love for Jesus.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Jack and Polly Bennett Horton; and her siblings, Mary Jo Horton, John Horton, Larry Horton and Luther Horton.

Ellen is survived by her husband of over 46 years, Jerry Lee Magouyrk; her sons Michael Magouyrk (Jessica) and David Magouyrk (Brittany); her siblings Annette Davis, Sandra Dupree (Mike), Odell Horton (Alice) and Marie Mellon (Joe); her grandkids Aiden Booth, Allison Magouyrk, and Elijah Magouyrk and a host of Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews.

A visitation for Ellen will be held Sunday, December 15, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, Sylacauga, Alabama, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Ellen will be laid to rest in Tallasahatchie Cemetery. All services will be officiated by Rev. Billy Epperson.

Serving as pallbearers are Aiden Booth, Jeff Chappell, Philip Epperson, Aaron Wells, Jeff Carpenter, and Tony Thrasher. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Brannon and Blake Dennis.
