Yvonne Marie Flannigan

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing on November 17, 2024, of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend Yvonne Marie Flannigan (Skinner). Born to the late Gordon and Mary Skinner.

Yvonne worked for 25 years as a school crossing guard, a job she loved. Her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandkids were everything to her and her biggest source of Pride and Joy.

Yvonne is survived and will be missed by her husband Gerald, children John Huntington, Tara (George) Thompson, step children Tina Smoly and Stephen Flannigan, grandchildren Jordan, Natasha, Natalie, Candace, Bradley, Marissa, Brody and Lily as well as 10 great grandchildren, one brother Gordie Skinner (Sandy), brother-in-law Joseph Mombourquette, sister-in-law Tina Skinner and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Yvonne was also predeceased by her sister Sue and brother Ron.

A visitation will take place from 7-9pm on Thursday, Nov. 21 at TW Curry Parkview Chapel, 755 George St., Sydney. Funeral Service will be at 11am on Friday, Nov. 22 also at TW Curry Parkview Chapel with Fr. Paul Murphy officiating. Inurnment in Forest Haven Cemetery will take place at a later date.
