It is with sadness in our hearts that we, the family of Jean Darlene Dalton, announce her passing on Feb 10, 2023, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital surrounded by the love of her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Arnold and Gloria MacEachern.
Jean was a loving mother who doted on her children. She had many friends whom she cherished spending time with. She loved to dance and adored horses, she was a real “country girl”. Jean had a smile that could light up the entire room. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.
Jean is survived by her children; Dwayne, Gary, Lorraine (Joey) Carey (Robert) and Matthew (Leah) as well as her nine grandchildren and her brothers Kevin (Laurie) and Lawrence (Shella).
Jean is predeceased by her parents Arnold “Ham” and Gloria MacEachern, brothers Bernard, James “Baba”, Brian and sister Gertrude “Trudy”.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb 17th at TW Curry Parkview Chapel in Sydney from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral service will be held the following day at TW Curry Parkview Chapel at 11am, with Fr. Bill Burke officiating. Refreshments will be served following the service. For those unable to attend, the Funeral service will be livestreamed via TW Curry's Facebook page.
