It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Eleanor Marie Young, at the age of 21, on September 11, 2023. Born on February 26, 2002, she was the beautiful daughter of Ronalda Denny (Wally) and Johnny Young.
Eleanor loved all her family and friends. Her pride and Joy, was her baby boy, Kylo. Eleanor enjoyed seeing all her friends in Eskasoni and Sydney. She will be missed by many friends at the Jane Paul Center & the Ally Center. She liked going for walks and being outdoors, she laughed often and was adventurous. She always greeted everyone with a loving smile.
Besides her parents she survived by her son, Kylo; her foster mother, Elizabeth Benoit; paternal grandmother, Veronica (Flo) Young; sisters, Tyesha Denny & Magenta Dennis; brothers, Jesse Denny-Dennis, Dustin Dennis & Conrad Young; foster sisters Amanda & Mary Susan; foster brother, Ekkian.
Eleanor is also survived by her aunts, Kyla (Godmother), Sasha, Gail, Bernadette, Beverly, Marlene, Shirley, Mary Eliz, Barbara, Fran, Vivian, Fredericka & Elizabeth; uncles, Chris, Joe, Herman, Tuma, Jimmy & Nelson; and her Godfather, Robert Paul.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Eleanor Denny; Maternal grandparents, Rita (Prosper) Denny, Flora Denny & John Denny; paternal grandfather, Fred Young; foster brother, Allan; aunts, Muriel & Pam; uncles, Victor, David, Philip, Lester, Bobby & Anthony.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, September 19 ,2023 at the Gabriel Center, 50 Gabriel Street, Eskasoni, NS starting at 7pm, until the time of the Funeral Mass which will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023, 10:30am, at Holy Family Parish, Eskasoni, NS with Fr. Antolin Asor officiating. Burial in parish cemetery with Meal & Salite to follow.
