It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dolores MacLeod, 83, of Sydney. Dolores passed away in the place that brought her the most joy, her home. Born in Sydney, NS, she was the daughter of the late Donald Archibald and Mary Ann (McIntyre) MacLeod. Dolores was a devoted member of Holy Redeemer Parish. Dolores retired after her time as a Pharmacy Technician at St. Rita’s Hospital. She found peace while being outside in nature, especially up on the “Hill”. She was an avid gardener and bird lover. She loved to share her interests with everyone who asked. Dolores found a profound connection with her Lord and always prayed for those close to her. Dolores is survived by her sisters Carmelita and Rose; brothers Peter (Eileen), Gerard, Connie (Wilma), Jimmy (Sharon), Donnie (Marg) and sister-in-law Linda. She also leaves her nieces and nephews Chad, Michael, Darryl, Chauncey, Evan, Ryan, Shawn, Tracey, Tara, Dante, Graham, Rachel, Carol Ann, Mary, Linda, Brenda, Janice and their families. While Dolores didn’t have any children of her own, she held many very special bonds with her great great nieces, nephews and family.
Dolores has joined her sisters and brothers in heaven Annie Theresa, Marion, Jerome and Michael along with sister-in-law Peggy and brother-in-law William, Gordon and Glen.
Now that Dolores has gone to be with our Lord, her physical life on earth has ended but only the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for her.
