Carmie as she was affectionately known was the third and youngest child born August 22 1935 in Reserve Mines, to Belgian immigrants Camille and Rachelle Botte. She had 2 older brothers Ferno and Camille Jr. Carmie was the only child born Canadian but remained very proud of her Belgian heritage her entire life. She married her childhood sweetheart Tom 54 years ago and they were happily married to the end. They adopted their only son Glenn 49 years ago and she was naturally a wonderful loving mom. She was a great homemaker and her home became the gathering place countless times over the years for celebrations and reunions. She was a fabulous musician along with her husband Tom and entertained many family and friends with her piano and accordion skills. She was fluent in French and English and made many trips back to Belgium maintaining close relationships with her family there. She was always very proud of her father’s success in the 1914, Tour de France. She loved watching hockey and tennis and was a very vocal fan at times. Family was everything to her and she was everything to her family.
Carmie is survived and sadly missed by her husband, Tom McMullin, as well as their son Glenn (Samantha) McMullin and granddaughter Rebecca who was her pride and joy. She is also survived by her sister- in- law, Megie (Camille Jr.) Botte, as well as nephew Greg (Donna) Botte and niece Donna (Bill) Buckland. She will also be missed by her best friend Rose (Gerald) Buckland. In Belgium she is survived by nephew Jean (Danielle) Botte and his sister Johanna Botte, cousin Claudine (Guy) Brichard. As well as many great nieces and nephews both here and abroad.
Carmie was predeceased by her parents Camille and Rachelle Botte and her two brothers Ferno and Camille Jr. and she missed them every day.
