It is with sadness we announce the passing of Bruce Alister Kerr, known to his family and many friends as Bo. Bruce was born in Sydney on July 4, 1948. A son of the late Murdock and Annie Kerr. He was predeceased by sisters Shirley (Ian MacNeil), Elaine (Robert Prier) and brothers Ken (Rita) and Don (Marge). He is survived by his sister Heather (Ross) Inkpen and three sons in Toronto. Bruce attended Sydney Academy and was an avid basketball and hockey fan, his favourite team being the Detroit Red Wings. A number of years ago, Bo suffered a stroke and has been a resident of Harbourstone Enhanced Care for the past six plus years. He received excellent care. Our heartfelt thanks go to the staff of that facility. Bruce was known for his wonderful sense of humour and loved socializing with his many friends. His nephew John MacNeil and good friend Kenny Langley were steadfast in their frequent visits to him and looking after his needs. We thank them. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at TW Curry Parkview Chapel, 755 George Street, Sydney. Seating is limited due to restrictions. Those wishing to attend virtually may watch the livestream via TW Curry's Facebook page.
