Ann was born April 9, 1937 in Reserve Mines, NS and was the daughter of Gerald and Margaret Bates.
Ann was predeceased by her first husband, Leo F. Mac Neil with whom she shared a beautiful life of 53 years and had three wonderful children, Debbie (Brian), Allan (Holly) and Mike (Colleen). Ann was a devoted mother who loved her children unconditionally. She was also blessed to have five granddaughters, Kimberley, Carolyn, Jackie, Krista and Jennifer; whom she adored. She was thrilled to have seven great grandchildren, Liam, Clare, Julia, Ethan, Theo, Logan and Kenzie.
Ann was fortunate enough to find love again with her second husband Ron Patterson and shared 11 years together. Ron was a loving partner to Ann and they enjoyed wintering in Florida where she became an amazing shuffleboard player. They shared many good years there with friends and family.
Ann was one of 12 children. She was predeceased by Gerry, Joey, Theresa, Mellie, Maurina and Tommy. Her remaining siblings Kevin, Mary, Rosalie, Frank and Rita were loved and provided great comfort to her over the years.
Funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Sydney River,NS. Thursday June 29 at 11am, with Fr. Joe MacKenzie officiating.
