Judith "Judy" Bernadette Buffett

Born in Florence on October 4, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Theresa (LeBlanc) Jessome. Judy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

Judy married the love of her life, Jacob "Jake" Buffett and together they enjoyed 51 years of happiness. Judy and Jake enjoyed entertaining friends and family and later in life cherishing every moment spent with their grandchildren. Judy's favorite times were spent with family and friends playing cards and Scrabble around the kitchen table. She often reminisced about her early years working at the Scotiabank where she made lifelong friends. Judy was a kind and caring person, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Judy spent many years managing their family business while raising her children and welcoming her grandchildren. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly, always being supportive and proud of their accomplishments. Her grandchildren will deeply miss their long chats, late night trips to town for treats and having their Nanny there to depend on.

Judy will be missed by her devoted and loving husband Jake Buffett, her two sons Gordon (Monique) Buffett, Curtis Buffett, daughter Lisa Buffett (Chris Tobin), her eight grandchildren Jacob, Monica, Caleb, Isabella, Brady, Dayton, Nylah and Kingston. She is survived by her sisters Gladys Davis and Stephanie (Fred) Cuffe, brother-in-law Wayne (Denise) Buffett, sisters-in-law Gloria (Wayne) Musgrave, Jeannie (Pat) Melvin and also by her best friends Wendy Buffett (sister-in-law) and Mary Cartwright. Besides her parents, Judy is predeceased by her siblings Marjorie, Ambrose, Valerie and Greg as well as her nephew Michael Davis. We would like to extend a thank you to Dr. Andrew Wawer, the VON nurses who provided home visits, the Palliative Care providers as well as the Cancer Centre doctors and nurses who supported her through her illness. A special thank you to all of the friends who helped care for Judy over the past few months.
