Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Krysa) Stashkow, she attended BMC Durfee High School and later attended Bridgewater State College. A lifelong resident of Fall River, Mrs. Gonsalves was a seamstress for many years for Lucove Interior Decorators on New Boston Road in Fall River. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, sewing, painting and animals.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan Pineau and her husband Paul of Seekonk, MA, a sister, Helen Gallagher of Middletown and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gonsalves was also the mother of the late Paul M. Gonsalves and sister of the late Mitchell Stashkow.
Her funeral will take place on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11am in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT BIRCHCREST, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Visiting hours will be Friday from 9 to 11am prior to her service. Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to Beacon Hospice, 182 N Main St., Fall River, MA 02720.
