Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Francis and Yvette (Couturier) Fennelly Sr.
Francis was a United States Army Veteran, and went on to work as an electric lineman. A true lover of cars, he had a great affinity for the all American Chevy Corvette, and enjoyed his time watching NASCAR and playing cards, especially cribbage.
He is survived by his sons Jason Fennelly and significant other Nicole Lague of Swansea, William “Billy” Cowell and his wife, Marcy of Dighton, daughters Kathleen (Fennelly) Perry and her husband, Chris, and Karen (Fennelly) King, all of Bristol, RI as well as his brothers, Allen Fennelly and his wife, Pauline, of Swansea and Kevin Fennelly and his wife, Beth, of Florida. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as several other loving family members and friends. He is predeceased by his sons Bryan Cowell and Jeffrey Cowell.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM in The American Legion Post, 73 Ocean Grove Avenue, Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited.
