Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Edward I. and Constance (Blanchette) Pettine. She spent her youth in Swansea and lived in Somerset for many years prior to moving to New Bedford. A graduate of Joseph Case High School, Class of 1975, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern Dance from Rhode Island College. An extremely creative Artist, she enjoyed abstract art, sculpture, painting and modern dance. She exhibited her artwork in many art shows throughout the community. A talented musician, she played the flute and piano and was an incredible athlete who loved to participate in all sports competitively. She especially loved being a mother and raising her two children and spending time with her two grandchildren.
She is survived by her two children; one son Brian Roussell of Newport, one daughter, Nicole Mineau and her husband Michael of Portsmouth; companion, Earle “Bud” Bryer of New Bedford; three brothers, Edward “Ted” Pettine and his wife Karen of Swansea, Thomas Pettine and his companion Deborah Rodrigues of Somerset, Michael Pettine of Swansea; one sister, Linda Pettine also of Swansea; two grandchildren, Violet and Mason Mineau of Portsmouth, many nieces and nephews; and her former husband, Roger L. Roussell, Jr. of Little Compton.
Private arrangements are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, Swansea.
