Agnes "Aggie" Collins

Born in Swansea, the daughter of the late Antone and Irene (Costa) Santana, she had been a lifelong resident of Swansea.

A graduate of Joseph Case High School, Class of 1968, Aggie worked at Walmart in Swansea for many years prior to her retirement in 2020. She was a communicant of St. Dominic’s Church. An avid gardener, who raised chickens and always had fresh eggs available. She and her husband enjoyed vacationing and their favorite spot to visit was Myrtle Beach. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Mello and her husband Richard and Priscilla Matton and her husband Brendan; two grandchildren, Hannah and Matthew Mello all of Swansea and several nieces and nephews. Agnes was the grandmother of the late Jenna Marie Mello and sister of the late Beatrice “Bea’ Santana, Margaret Santana, Carolyn Jean and Joseph Santana.

Her Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 8:30 to 9:30AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Dominic’s Church, 1277 G.A.R.
