It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Terry Anne Richert at Surrey Memorial Hospital on January 29, 2019, at the youthful age of 79.
Beloved wife and best friend of Karl (“Karl with a K”) Richert for 45 years, Terry was born in Nokomis, SK to Ted and Mabel Fraser. She spent her youth in Dawson Creek, BC and her later years in Delta, BC.
Terry was predeceased by sisters Loris Alene, Corky (Stew), and Iris (Tom). She will be missed by her nieces Diane, Lyn, Cheryl and Sandra and many great nieces and nephews. Terry also leaves behind many special friends and neighbours.
Never in her wildest dreams did Terry imagine the adventurous life that would unfold for her, coming from a small town in the interior of BC. She joined Air Canada in 1960 as a flight attendant and spent the next 31 years touring the world, from England, Scotland, Germany, Italy, India, the Orient and all across Canada and US. She made many wonderful memories of her exciting travels, with Karl at her side on many occasions. Their adventures continued on during vacations, packed with many memorable highlights.
Terry was a hard worker, wonderful cook and hostess, making many special dinners for Karl’s RCMP friends. She loved spending time in her garden with her beloved dog Biscuit by her side, and in later years with her dog Sophie.
Karl would like to thank the staff at SMH, especially those working in the ICU and comfort care unit, for their exceptional care and attention. Words cannot express the deep appreciation for the kindness and support shown to Terry.
There will be no service at this time. Interment will be at a later date in the RCMP cemetery in Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Delta SPCA, The Alzheimer Society of BC or a charity of your choice.
