Scott Anthony Rogers
It is with immense sadness that we announce Scott’s sudden, unexpected passing on June 10, 2020. Scott was a loving and loyal son who was cherished by his family and his many friends. He was predeceased by his father, Lorne (2013) and is survived by mother, Lynn and his sisters Kim and Erin (Jonathan) niece Lulu, nephew Sam as well as many aunts and uncles including Greg, Brenda, Bryn, Dennis and Anita and cousins Damon (Paula), Tyler (Ali), Jaime, Matt, Sam and his cherished Australian cousins, Cameron (Briellyn) , Lorraine (Terry) and Jenny (Lexie and Tegan) and the extended family in Edmonton. Family was very important to Scott and loved spending time with everyone at family events, especially on his several trips to Australia. He was a loving grandson to Coral, Vic and Tiny and he spent many happy hours helping and supporting Tiny through the years. In a very loving gesture, Scott gave Lynn and Lorne the most amazing gift when we lost our little dog, Pepper. He surprised us that Christmas with our precious little dog, Holly.
Scott was raised in Richmond where he became an avid soccer player. He was proud of being selected to the Metro Team for Richmond. He graduated from McNair High School and went on to complete a 2 yr diploma at Kwantlen Polytechnical followed by several years at Simon Fraser University studying history and labor relations.
Scott was an avid sports fan who was a lifelong supporter of his teams, no matter their results. He was a staunch Newcastle United fan and looked forward to World Cup matches where he cheered on Scotland and England.
Scott was taken much too soon and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. There will be a Celebration of Life to remember Scott on July 18, 2020 at Richmond Golf and Country Club. Unfortunately, due to the COVID restrictions, this event will be invitation only.
In Lieu of flowers, please make a donate to the Scott A. Rogers SPCA Memorial Fund.
Scott’s family and friends are invited to add their comments and memories of Scott at www.victorymemorialpark.com.
