I am very sad to hear of your mother's passing.  I did not know that she was ill even though she had battled cancer.
I'm a friend who lived in North Vancouver for 9 years in the 2000s and attended the South Burnaby church of Christ.  I loved your mother very much.

I do not recall a time before Kim was in my life; we grew up at the Burnaby Church together and I always looked forward to seeing her there.  
Though I have not seen Kim in a few years my memories are special as she had nothing but smiles and kind words for those around.
I believe the world is a better place because she was in it and I will miss seeing her each time I visit home.
My condolences to Mike, Randy, Cal and extended family.

I just told Kim a few weeks ago that I was looking forward to seeing her this August, with a big smile and longer hair!  We were both about 9 years old when we first met.  She was terribly shy then, but my mom made sure to invite her the sleepover birthday party at our house.  After a few years of friendship, we became roommates, and I was honoured to be a bridesmaid at her wedding. So many good memories.   I will miss Kim.

To Kim's family.  I had the pleasure of working with Kim from a distance but I considered her a friend as well as a colleague.  When I travelled to BC I was always greeted with a warm hug and and infectious smile.  She regularly updated me on how poorly  I was doing in the hockey pool I run, and how well she was doing! Kim was more than a friend to us—she was like family. We knew her from church, where her kindness, joyful spirit, and generous heart touched everyone around her. I will especially miss her warm hugs, her beautiful smile, and the incredible energy she brought into every room.
Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and light, and we will forever hold those memories close. May her soul rest in perfect peace, and may you find strength and comfort in knowing how deeply she was loved and how fondly she will be remembered.

Condolence to Kim’s Family!

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Kim. She was such a kind and caring person who always went out of her way to help others. I will never forget how she would give me rides to and from the Church of Christ in Surrey every Sunday. I still remember how disappointed she was when I told her I’d be moving to Toronto, and how much she said she would miss me.

Even after I moved, we stayed in touch through text. I also being an accountant would share my busy schedule and month end stories. She would often share her month-end stories and talk about how she stayed so organized. I admired how she always made sure to complete all her tasks, no matter how busy her day was.

One moment that especially stays with me is from our Church AGM in 2023. Since the meeting went past lunchtime, Kim made sure to bring lunch for me and even looked around to make sure I had eaten. That was just who she was—thoughtful, attentive, and always full of warmth. Her smile and laughter brought joy to those around her.

Though I lived in Delta for only three months, those 12 or 13 Sundays spent talking with her are among my most cherished memories. I truly regret not getting a chance to see her one last time or take a photo with her. She will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will miss her dearly.

With love to Guyle, Brent & Richard but also Kim’s brothers Cal, Randy & Mike.  As some will know, I grew up with Kim and have lots of fond memories.  We had fun in our teenage years and even travelled to Oklahoma together when we went away to college.  Later, as we started our own lives, I eventually moved away but on the few times I came down to the Coast, we would meet up and go for Greek food and it was like the years melted away even though there were lots of miles between us.  Kim always had a light about her, a smile & a laugh.  I will always love & miss you, Kim.

My heart is heavy, but my memories are good and remembering Kimmer with her life well lived. My thoughts are with Guyle and the boys and all her brothers. I remember the baseball games, camping with Guyle and Kim and the many blueberry teas at Palmer Jarvis luncheons. She was always smiling and such a good friend. She will be missed so much and she led the good fight. Kimmer, time now to rest your soul in knowing you are at peace. Love you and will always miss your friendship.
