Joy Audrey Mary Hemsworth sadly passed away on May 2, 2024, peacefully at Royal Columbian Hospital. She was born on December 29th, 1956 at Vancouver Memorial Hospital. Joy was a nurse before becoming a mother. She enjoyed travelling the world and her favourite spot to travel was Hawaii.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents Gordon and Mary Bicknell and brothers Peter and Don Bicknell. She is survived by her partner Joe and her sister Mary-Anne. She is also survived by her son Jeff (Stephanie) and daughter Sara (Federico), as well as her grandchildren Cashton, Wyatt and Quinn.
A funeral service will be held at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre at 14831 28th Ave, Surrey, BC on Friday, May 24th, 2024 at 1:00pm. Reception to follow from 2-4pm
In memory of Joy, donations may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation or the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association, in lieu of flowers.
