With heavy hearts we announce the passing of a dear husband, best friend, proud father and grandad, (David) Bruce Watkins of White Rock, B.C. Bruce passed away with family at his side at the age of 83.
Bruce leaves behind his loving wife Pat, son Geoff, (Wendy), daughter Sandra Coulson and grandchildren Michael and Rachel and extended family. He is predeceased by his parents and brothers Brian and Ross.
Bruce was born in Montreal, Quebec. He spent his early years on the island of Île Bigras. He later moved to the Lower Mainland where he most notably worked for CBC, Seaspan and finally as Deputy Directory of Personnel for the city of Delta. He was a volunteer at Surrey Pretrial for many years. Bruce was a special friend and mentor for many in his community.
Bruce had a wonderful sense of humour. He loved animals. His beloved dog; Sadie was by his side until the end.
