Daniel Reimer of Surrey, British Columba went to be with his Lord on November 15, 2021.
Dan was raised by his parents on the family homestead in Duck Lake, Saskatchewan along with his big family. Dan married Alice Bergen in 1950. They moved to BC; together they raised 5 children. In 1978, they moved to Hawaii with four children; Dale, Doug, Dwayne and Shannon and left their oldest married daughter Sharon behind in BC. Dan enjoyed a wide variety of activities throughout his life. His passion was playing the ukulele, golfing, swimming, curling, music, singing with quartet sons & telling stories. He worked beside Alice at “Auntie Alice’s Pie & Coffee” shop for 7 years until they retired. Dan loved people, visiting friends and family was always a highlight in his life. He had a great sense of humour and was loved by everyone who knows him. His wife, Alice passed away on December 27th 2000. He married Elsie on January 2, 2003.
He enjoyed many happy years serving the Lord at the Waikoloa community church in Hawaii with his wife, Elsie. With 24 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren combined, whom he dearly loved, Dan kept busy. After 17 years together in Hawaii they made the move to Elim Village in Surrey BC in January of 2020.
Dan will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his beloved wife, Elsie of 19 years and his brother, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and the Elim staff and friends. Dan was predeceased by his parents, Johann and Katherina ; Alice, two sons, Doug and Dwayne, brothers and sisters.
In keeping with his wishes, Dan’s final resting place will be with his parents in Horselake, Saskatchewan.
