Catherine Alexandria Burnham

Catherine was born on March 8, 1961 in Toronto to loving parents, Robert and Elizabeth (Innisfil). Beloved sister to Paul and Andy (Kimberly Homenuk) and loving aunt to Avery and Charlie.

Catherine relocated to Delta, British Columbia with son Trevor in 1995 and made that her adopted home. Catherine was a loving and doting mother to Trevor, and he was her pride and joy. She rejoiced in his many accomplishments and was overjoyed when Trevor became engaged to Jennifer. She was very much looking forward to being both a future mother-in-law and in time, a loving grandmother.

Catherine bravely battled colon cancer in 2016 and she was just recently released from Surrey Memorial hospital after undergoing surgery for esophagus cancer. She showed great strength and courage but sadly lost her battle with cancer.

Catherine will be deeply missed and her loving and generous spirit will live on forever in her family and many dear friends. Even though Catherine left Toronto for British Columbia, she never lost her love for Toronto and specifically Thornhill, where she attended high school and made many great and lasting friendships.

Catherine was an animal lover her entire life and was so happy to get home to see her two canine “babies”, Pebbles and Frank.

Her family is asking that in lieu of flowers, any donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in her name would be greatly appreciated.
