Shirley Haskins

Asheville, N.C on January 9th

1937, the youngest of 13

children to Augusta and

Willie Bolden. She was 83

years old when God called her

home on December 26th 2020

only leaving one sister

Cerease Rogers of Norfolk

Virginia.

Shirley was mother to six

children, her two sons whom

are with her now in heaven

Demetrius and Jonathan. She

leaves behind four daughters,

Deborah Callender from New

York, Gloria Lee and Son-in -

law James Lee, Jr. from

Florida, Rona Damon, Sonlaw

Edward Damon, Jr. of

Arizona, Rosalyn Caple and

son-in law Harold Caple Jr. of

Connecticut. She also leaves 8

grandchildren, Vaughn,

Lamar ,Quan, Lydell, Johnny,

Shane, Kenny and Taahira

and numerous great-grands,

nieces, nephews, great-nieces,

great-nephews.

Shirley left New York after

living there most of her life

and retiring from Bronx

Lebanon Hospital as a

Cashier/Dietitian for 32 years

moving to Arizona in 2005.

She was greatly loved by

numerous friends and family.

She was a very religious

person and truly believed in

the lord and the power of

prayer. Her favorite things to

do was listening to Gospel

music, her word-finds puzzles

and watching TV.

Shirley will be greatly missed

and forever thought of as an

Angel on earth.
