James Garland Frizzell Sr.

FRIZZELL, James Garland, Sr., 85, went to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Mon, Oct 12, 2020, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Myrtle (Redd) Frizzell; and brother Eugene Frizzell. Jim was born in Norfolk, VA. After serving in the US Coast Guard, he worked as a civilian with the Coast Guard for 41 years. He retired in 1997 as Chief of Accounting Operations Division at the US Coast Guard Finance Center in Chesapeake, VA. Jim was a long time member of Great Hope Baptist Church in Chesapeake and continued being faithful serving his Lord at Western Hills Baptist Church in Glendale, AZ. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 62 years, Minnie (Foca) Frizzell; sons James G. Frizzell, Jr., of Norfolk, VA, Jared P. Frizzell and wife Robin, of Buckeye, AZ, and Jason C. Frizzell and fiancé, Natalie, of Surprise, AZ; grandchildren, Courtney, Jacob, Joshua, Aidan, Cleo, and Russell; and great-grandchildren Florence and Boaz. A Memorial Service will be held on Sat, Oct 24, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Western Hills Baptist Church, at 12301 W. Glendale Ave, Glendale, AZ 85307.
