Frank Thomas "Tom" Holleman

Frank Thomas (Tom) Holleman was, first and foremost, a family man. He and Maureen were married 52 years and have four sons, Scott (Kathleen) of Chicago, Brian of Elmhurst, IL, Daniel (Kathryn) of Lombard, IL and David (Jeanette) of Addison, IL; and seven grandchildren, Lauren, Jakob, Ryan, Anna, Tyler, Jack and Vincent. A loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and brother-in-law, he was a cherished friend to many. He was 72 when he passed away on Oct. 17, 2022 at his home in Surprise, AZ.

Tom was actively involved with his sons’ sporting activities in their youth, serving as a coach for many years.

Tom was a talented, hard working carpenter with ComEd for 32 years.

Born Feb. 5, 1950 in Mobile, AL he graduated from Proviso West High School in Hillside, IL in 1968. Tom lived in the Chicago suburbs of Melrose Park and Bellwood before he and Maureen moved to Surprise, AZ in 2004. Tom was an avid fan of Chicago sports, particularly the White Sox and Bears and enthusiastically supported Alabama football - Roll Tide! He was actively building and cataloging his extensive sports memorabilia collection, with an emphasis on baseball cards, through his final days. Later in life, Tom was a poker enthusiast.

He is survived by his sister Mary (Manny) Aristodemo, sister-in-law Joanne Holleman, brother-in-law James Mannion, William Mannion, Edward (Sharon) Mannion, sister-in-law Kathleen (Keith) Uchida, Margaret Mannion and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irene and George Holleman, brother Joseph and brother-in-law Thomas Mannion.

He was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church in Surprise, AZ.

Visitation will be held at 2:00 - 5:00 on Thursday October 27, 2022 at Dignity Surprise Funeral Care at 16063 W. Bell Road in Surprise, AZ 85374. Rosary to begin at 4:00 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Friday, October 28, 2022 at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church at 17111 W Bell Road in Surprise, AZ 85374.

There will be a celebration of life from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm on Saturday November 26th at St. Francis High School at 2130 W Roosevelt Rd. Wheaton, IL 60187.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Tom’s name may be made to the American Kidney Fund
