Alex will be missed by his friends and most of all his family.  His time was cut short and is now waiting with our Lord and savior. Until we meet again our dearest nephew.

The Vargas Family .         

I first met Alex at Big 5 in Monterrey Park. I was the Asst. Manager who interviewed and hired him. We got along immediately with his positive attitude and being fans of the same teams, Lakers,  Raiders and of course the Dodgers. We also shared the same interest in movies. We always talked about Scarface and we both knew the lines for the whole movie. One memory I have with Alex and we always remembered was when he would bring his lunch from  McDonald's and eat at our lunch room I would tell him " Hey, Alex let me get some of your fries that's too much for you" then I would take some of his fries and we would laugh. You will always be remembered my friend. Until we meet again my #1 Dodger Fan. 

I met Alex in 2021 when he joined our team at US 1 Logistics. Alex was a good man with a good heart and a good character. Alex was a hard worker and got promoted to a leadership position after 6 months of working for our company. Alex was a great team leader and always bring the team together.  After learning about his sickness, we all were heartbroken and during that time he never let us forget we were always in his heart.  Alex would constantly come to the office to say hello and, although he was in pain, he never let that prevent him from reaching out to every one of us. Alex, you may be gone, but you will never be forgotten. You will always be in our hearts.. one love brother.

Part III

Thanks to Alex, I learned that it was cool to be into unpopular things like anime, marvel, dc, Star Wars and anything with comics! He was also very supportive of me going to college and gave me advice that I will carry out in my career. Thank you for all the support and memories Alex 🙏🏽

Once we arrived at the convention center, we made line outside with other people who were cosplaying and just as exited as we were. He had planned the day to go to a exclusive panel to preview a upcoming anime but I wanted to see the venders, we ended up doing what I wanted because he was selfless. At the end of that day, I had a great memory of us hanging out.  🙌🏽

PART I

Rest In Peace Alex 🙏🏽

One core memory I have with him was when he took me to the LA anime convention back in 2014!! I was very lucky and exited he took me and introduced me to this from of art and media I was never aware of! I knew some like Dragon ball but he had way more knowledge in everything . Every time I tried to show I knew what I was talking about, he’d ask me a question only a real fan would know that left me clueless😂 Our first stop was to a local Denny’s early in the morning where he made sure I was fed! 



RIP primo Alex🙏🏻

 I’ll always remember our great memories together primo! I remember every Christmas going to your house in Norwalk with my sisters and my mom when I was a kid. You were always in trouble 😂 but your mom used to reduce your punishment so you could spend time with me. Thanks cuz you used to pick me up and say “aye bro u got money” and I would respond with “yeah I got money”. He would say I got us dodgers tickets and u got the beers 🍻 We’d be rolling & listening to 2pac or any west coast rap on are way to dodgers stadium. I will always remember the conversations we had like talking about lakers, ucla , or his favorite team like the raiders. Growing up we played basketball together with his coworkers from big 5. Had some great times with you primo I’ll always remember! Rest easy primo! Until we see each other again, remember Alex I got the beers for the Dodgers game, love your primo 🍺🏀⚾️

It was a winter night and we were a team working for Swift in our early years of trucking. We were driving from Reno to Los Angeles to drop a load and I realized where we were heading through. It was his turn to drive and he had to drive through Donner's Pass. It was snowing and I could barely see the road so I pulled over and told him it was his turn to drive. He was going pretty fast and I could see that he wanted to pull over like the other truckers on the side but he kept going. I didn't sleep one wink until we made it past the mountain.  Once we made it down I sat next to him and asked if he'd ever driven Donner's Pass which he said no. I replied "congratulations you just did it"... He was so mad at me for not warning him. He almost punched me because if he had known he would have driven slower or pulled over like everyone else. I will miss the good times and bad times we spent trucking.

R.I.P.Alex  lo conosi cuandro en peso a manejar los troques tube la suerte de ser su maestro y convivir unmes I medio con el lo qu siempre me gusto de Alex .que hera positibo en todo siempre son riendo asiendro bromas nunca tubimos ningun desacuerdo platicamos barias veses de cundo estubo enlistado y los problemas que paso en la guerra lo triste que se centia cuando perdio varios de sus hermanos pero el siempre con una sonrrisa y para aser lo felis sus tacos y burritos de carne asada .. Alex que descanses enpas un soldado mas que perdemos pero se une alas fuersas de dios 

RIP little brother. Absolutely my favorite school mate in trucking. Alex and I hit it off because we are both baseball fans and would wear our favorite jerseys to class, me a Giants fan and he a Dodgers fan. We would talk so much trash to each other.  Alex was one the most genuine people I met. We talked about so much stuff, from personal experiences to at the moment life things. We never grew apart and talked even when we were on the road. Many dinners and watching the movie Shawshank Redemption. We could quote that movie. What you might know about this amazing soul is that he was accepting of everyone. See when I actually told him I was transgender and that my 
name was actually Mia and not Mike he said to me “I can careless so I lost a brother of trucking but I gained a sister” I will forever be grateful and miss him. This year’s baseball season will be so different. RIP little brother and always remember Go Giants.
