Doris Swedberg Schwartz, 88, of Sun City, died at 6:00 AM, Friday, January 31, 2014 at Hospice of the Valley’s Palm Valley Palliative Care Unit in Goodyear. She was born March 14, 1925 in Leonardville, Kansas to Louis and Grace Swedberg.
On Sept. 4, 1948 she married Paul F. Schwartz. They were married for 64 years before his death on March 30, 2013.
She is survived by her only child, her son Robert Schwartz, and his wife Sultana who live in Pennsylvania.
Doris and Paul resided in many states: Kansas, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Colorado before finally retiring in Sun City, Arizona in 1991.
Doris enjoyed playing golf, bridge, and bingo, and traveling.
