Donald "Don" and his twin brother Ronald "Ron" were born in Phoenix Arizona on January 6th 1946 to Morris and Lois [ne King] Havens. Don is survived by his wife Victoria [Vicki] Downham as well as his brother Ron, children Deanne Havens, Dean Havens, and stepson, Isaac Dugan [Samantha]. Don was blessed with four grandchildren, Mallory Berry, Sunnie Witkowski [Jared], Jessica Freeman [Richard] and Arbor Havens, four great grandchildren and his beloved Tigger the cat.
Don spent much of his life in construction management living across the country from California, Colorado, Florida, Washington, Indiana back to his home state of Arizona.
Don was a true connoisseur of many of the finer things in life; motorcycles, cars, mexican food, beer and ice cream. He had a soft heart for all animals with a special love of cats. The Colorado Rocky Mountains was a favorite place for Don, he spent a lot of time photographing his favorite spots while he lived there. Don loved Native American art and was a frequent visitor and supporter of The Heard Museum.
Don will be remembered for his kindness to all he met, putting a smile on the face with a great story, dad joke and an infectious laugh.
Don will be laid to rest at Sunland Memorial Cemetery 15826 N Del Webb blvd Sun City, Arizona in the Garden of Remembrance. The family welcomes thoughts, stories, and condolences to be shared on this website. Per Don's wishes, there will be no services held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
