Carol was born in Los Angeles, California to parents Arthur Severson and Lenore Hankey. She moved to the San Francisco Bay area as a young adult, where she had a career in the bakery business. In 2003, Carol moved to Prescott Valley with her best friends Ed and Susan James. She and Susan helped open the bakery at the then-new Safeway store and retired a year later.
Starting at an early age, Carol traveled extensively with her family and friends and kept meticulous journals detailing the trips. She loved animals and is pictured with her beloved chihuahua Sadie Mae. Carol enjoyed watching car and horse racing and was a big fan of singer Josh Groban.
In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by her beloved Uncle Harry and Aunt Nora Dill, Uncle Sam and Aunt Lavonne Severson and their daughter Lorraine Alderson. She is survived by daughter Patricia Anne Bullis; grandchildren Matthew Heneberry and Jerrica Bullis; great-grandchildren Charlie and Alexander McMillan; cousins Patricia Alderson and Sandra Haven, Sandra’s son Robert and his young son Chase.
Carol will be laid to rest next to Harry and Nora on Wednesday, July 17, at 11 a.m. at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City, Arizona.
