Maggie was a native of Lafayette, Alabama and had been a resident of Sulphur for the last 16 years, coming from Coushatta, Louisiana. She served as a school teacher in Red River Parish for over 20 years. She was a member of Maplewood First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Julia Miller and husband, Richard of Sulphur; daughter-in-law, Barbara Martin Bryan of Minden; sister, Mable Collins of Opelika, Alabama; grandchildren, Scott Miller and wife, Colleen, Wendy Sinclair and husband, Collin, Timothy Miller and wife, Melanie, Tabitha Osborne and husband, Ronnie, and Edgar Bryan, IV and wife, Autumn; and eleven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Waters Bryan, Jr.; and her son, Edgar Waters Bryan, III.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 2, in Social Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Ringgold, Louisiana. The Revs. Edgar Bryan, IV and Ronnie Osborne will officiate. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
