Harry was a native of Lake Charles and moved to Sulphur in the 1950's. He was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Harry enjoyed hunting, fishing, Country and Cajun French music. His biggest passion was playing his guitar. He always enjoyed playing in the band at the Miller family reunions. He worked for the Sulphur Police Department for many years and also Calcasieu Parish Gravity Drainage.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Paula Ann Miller Cotton and husband Stoney of Mont Belvieu, TX; his son, Harold James Miller and wife Farrah of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Stanton Cotton, Annie Cotton Hampton and husband Jared, Tanner Miller and wife Cheryl, Caleb Miller and wife Stacie; step-grandsons, Rick and Brandon Bastian; great-grandchildren, Ashton Miller, Brody Miller, Hadley Kate Miller; step great-grandson, Kayden Kochell; and a host of extended family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Annie Lou "Sue" Ancelet Miller; son, Winfred Miller; brothers, Wilfred, Russell, Hasting, Harold and Laten Miller; and sister, Beverly Miller Liprie.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021 in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home with a Rosary service at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 8 a.m. until time of service. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 30, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Deacon Patrick LaPoint will officiate. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Sulphur under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
