Germaine Brouillette Daigle, 82, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024 in her residence, after battling a long illness. She was born on May 4, 1941 in Church Point, Louisiana and had been a resident of Sulphur for the last 51 years. Germaine earned a Bachelor's Degree from UL Lafayette and a Master's Degree from Tulane University. She had a fulfilling career as a Registered Dietician. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sulphur, Louisiana. She loved reading mysteries and studying family genealogy. Germaine loved following politics and was known for her famous Gumbo and Rice Dressing. Her "Coffee Group" friends were very important to her and they would solve the issues of the day. Germaine was loved by all who knew her and was the sweetest person you could ever meet.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 51 years, John Abe Daigle of Sulphur, Louisiana; her daughters, Sarah Jean Daigle Mulhearn and husband, John Patrick Mulhearn of Port Allen, Louisiana and Aimee Daigle Romano and husband, Creed Michael Romano of Jennings, Louisiana; her brother, George Brouillette and wife, Linda Brouillette of Church Point, Louisiana; sister-in-law, Glenda "Mi Mi" Ray; three grandsons, Charles Cameron Romano, John "Jack" Ernest Mulhearn, III, and Owen Quinn Mulhearn; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ewel and Jean Brouillette; brother, Offney Brouillette; and sister, Joan Brouillette.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sulphur, Louisiana with Reverend Timothy Goodly officiating. A Rosary Service will be held beginning at 10:00 am Friday in the church, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.
Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles, Louisiana under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
