He was born on April 4, 1952 and was a lifelong resident of Sulphur. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Gerald worked as a welder at PPG Industries and retired after 33 years of service. He enjoyed cooking, dancing, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory are his four children, Kristy Como and husband, Doug, Brent Peveto and wife Alice, Dennis Peveto and wife Courtney, and Derek Peveto and wife Tammy; twelve grandchildren, Geoffrey Como, Dylan LeBlanc, Dalton LeBlanc, Kyle Peveto, Cole Peveto, Keira Peveto, Braydon Peveto, Reese Peveto, Corbin Peveto, Jaxon Peveto, Laney Peveto, and Jace Peveto; his brother, Gary Peveto and wife Vickie; his sister, Kathy George; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Peveto and wife, Leona; his mother, Betty Peveto; and a grandson, Colton Peveto.
His memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 14 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sulphur. Father Timothy Goodly will officiate. A Rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m. just prior to the memorial service. As per his request, there will be no visitation. Inurnment will be held in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss at a later date.
