Frances Faye Stanley, 79, of Edgerly, Louisiana passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024. Frances was born in Shreveport on July 4, 1944. Frances was a member of First Baptist Church of Vinton, Ward 7 Fire Department, American Legion #208 and VFW #9854. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Cora Duraso; first husband, Alvin "Beco" Chesson; great-grandson, Seth Landry; sisters, Gaynell Vassar and Darlene Herr; and brother, Roger Duraso.
Those left to cherish her memory are husband, Grant Stanley of Edgerly; daughters, Monica Moore (Donnie) of Vinton, Stacy Rains (Derrick) of Orange, Texas, Rachelle Daigle (Mike) of Sulphur, and Dusty Sheumaker (Craig) of Edgerly; stepchildren, Benji Stanley of Vinton, Katrina Jordan (Chris) of Moss Bluff, and Jeremy Stanley (Chancey) of Ragley; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Hixson Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Rev Bobby Daniels will officiate. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at the funeral home and will resume on Thursday at 9 am.
