She was a native of Morse and had been a resident of Sulphur since 1970, moving from Houston, Texas. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Emma enjoyed cooking for her family.
Survivors include her children, Arthur Domingue, Roger Domingue, David Vincent, Howard Benoit, Martha Martin, Loretta Taylor, and Tina Raymond all of Sulphur, and Paul Domingue of Vinton; her daughter-in-law, Tammy Domingue; her siblings, Verna Bertrand of Sulphur, Wanda Gobert and husband, Roger of Carlyss, Wallace Benoit of Lake Charles, and Herbert Benoit of Sulphur; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and sixteen great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard Benoit and Beulah Monceaux Benoit; her children, Morris Domingue and Patricia Fontenot; her siblings, Edward Benoit and wife, Brenda, Clifford Benoit, Leonard Benoit, and Newton Benoit; and sister-in-law, Stella Benoit.
A Celebration of Emma's Life will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 24, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home led by Hixson Celebrant, Jody Barrilleaux. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday in the funeral home.
