E.J. Richard was born September 26, 1953 and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 26, 2010, in his residence.
He was a lifelong resident of Carlyss and was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. E.J. enjoyed ducking hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Regina Richard; his son, Clint Gene Richard of Carlyss; his parents, Gene and Avita Richard; his brother, Hilton Richard; his sister, Anita Quibodeaux, all of Sulphur; and his two grandsons, Brody Wade Richard and Grantt Gene Richard.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, in St. Theresa Catholic Church. The Rev. Thomas Vellappallil will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation is from 4-9 p.m. today with a rosary service at 7 p.m. and from 9 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
