Pat was a local butcher when he met the love of his life, Claudia, Married in 1962. He worked as an operator at Sasol. After retiring, he spent his days enjoying his hobbies of fishing, shrimping, tending to his garden, and cooking for the ones he loved. He took pleasure in playing pool, listening to French music and dancing with his wife on the weekends. Always laughing and making jokes. He will always be remembered as a strong, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was loved by all that had the privilege of knowing him.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Claudia Doucet Spell; daughters, Janet Meistrell (Randy), Barbara Bourge (Carlton), and Jamie Menard; mother, Sadie Duhon Leche; sisters, Gail Hunt and Irma Ogea; brothers, Gary, Jimmy, and Billy Spell; four grandchildren Jessica, Dustin, Joannie and Dwayne; God-child, Kayla Menard; and seven great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Spell; daughter, Janice Reed; father, William Spell; and a brother, Freddy Spell.
Funeral Services will be held at 2pm, Thursday, December 6, 2018 in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Deacon Patrick LaPoint will officiate. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly.
