She was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur. Carolyn was a member of Maplewood First Baptist Church where she served for many years as a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed crafting, needlepoint, and tole painting. She will be remembered as a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Keith Beeson of Sulphur; her children, Trena Prado of Austin, Texas, and Paul Beeson and wife, Brenda of Foley, Alabama; her siblings, Truman Stegall and Kenneth Stegall, both of Sulphur, Johnny Stegall of Lake Charles, Bobby Stegall of Dallas, Texas, Patsy Lyons of Baker, and Shirley Duhon of Wichita Falls, Texas; six grandchildren, Trenton Prado, Leah Prado, Jordan Prado, Ryan Beeson, Brittany Beeson, and Taylor Beeson; and two great-grandchildren, Ashton Beeson and Hudson Hatfield. She is preceded in death by her son, Brian Beeson; and her parents, John Wiley and Gloria Stegall.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, December 28, in Maplewood First Baptist Church. The Rev. Charley Watson will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss.
