Barbara Jean Dean, 77, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. She was born to her late parents, Lawrence and Felicia Daigle on June 24, 1946 in Lafayette, Louisiana. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, photography, and tending to her plants. Barbara was the accountant for the City of Refuge in Vinton for many years. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and enjoyed reading her Bible.
She is survived by her children, Felicia Robinson and James LaBove, III (Krystal), both of Sulphur, Louisiana; siblings, Brenda Lampous (Claiborne), Lawrence Daigle (Lenore), and Kenneth Landry (Bolinda), all of Sulphur, Louisiana; five grandchildren, Latasha Robinson, Justin Robinson, Bryson LaBove, Keely LaBove, and Briley LaBove; four great grandchildren, Nicholas Robinson, Reese Willis, Kinley Kiefer, and Jameson Kiefer.
Barbara is preceded in death by her son, Golden Robinson, Jr.; husband, Golden Robinson, Sr.; her parents; along with her sisters, Rose Stewart, Norma Trout, Lenora Thuilion, and Kathy Chesney.
A Celebration of Barbara's life will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial in Sulphur, Louisiana on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 10:00 am, with Bro. Steve Avera officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Thursday, from 8:30 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery in Vinton, Louisiana.
